FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Once you have registered for your Virtual Cocktail Class, Sunshine Consulting will send you a Prep List for class or we’ll mail Cocktail Kits to your group. You will receive a private Zoom link to share with your group.

    Log on at your scheduled time and Dr. Sunshine will be waiting in his Virtual Cocktail Bar. He leads the class through spirits tasting, cocktail making, and cocktail history. Your group will be engaged the entire time. We talk about the cocktails we’ve made and how we might make different cocktails in the future.

    Participants will leave with the lifelong skillset of making amazing cocktails at home.

  • Above you will find different types of Virtual Cocktail Classes. Simply click “Book Now” then select your time zone.

    Once you’ve selected your time zone, a calendar will appear. Choose your date and time.

    Next, the payment option will come up, pay with your credit card or with Pay Pal. You may change your date or time in the future for free.

    If you are inquiring about Cocktail Kits or a Customized Class, fill out the short form and Dr. Sunshine (Jon) will be in contact with you within 24 hours to discuss the specifics of your event.

  • Upon registering, you will receive a Prep List of all the ingredients and tools you’ll need for class. The Prep List contains a link to the web page, “How To Prepare,” which answers most questions you or your guests may have.

    Generally, participants will need to spend very little on class ingredients. Dr. Sunshine tailors each class to the items people bring. The average amount spent per person is about $15.

    If you are getting Cocktail Kits, Sunshine Consulting will work with you to ensure everyone gets their kit delivered in a timely fashion with any specifications they may have.

  • Yes, all classes have non-alcoholic options for every cocktail we make. Your Prep list will include directions to preparing for taking the class without alcohol.

  • Yes. Dr. Sunshine can shorten the length of the experience to accommodate your timing needs. This will not affect the price.

  • No problemo. Dr. Sunshine can bill you after class for the additional participants. If you are doing an In-Person Event, we will do our best to accommodate your extra guests. The per-person rate will not change.

  • Throughout class Dr. Sunshine asks random participants questions regarding their flavor preferences, favorite cocktails, and ends each section with an opening for questions regarding the topic discussed. “Are there any more Old Fashioned questions?”

  • Your team should expect to interact as much as they would like. If participants want to “sit back and watch the show,” that’s no problem, Dr. Sunshine will not engage with them. If your participants want to ask lots of questions and talk about different subjects, Dr. Sunshine will happily accommodate and incorporate topics into his presentation. Dr. Sunshine aims to have people participating throughout the entire class.

  • As much as they are comfortable with. Dr. Sunshine engages with the group throughout class. This is an interactive cocktail making experience.

  • Yes. The host is live for 100% of the class. There are no recordings or videos. Everything is conducted in real time.

  • Cocktail, spirit, and flavor preferences are different for almost everyone. What beverages you consume and flavors you like speak volumes regarding your upbringing, culture, and history.

    Dr. Sunshine’s classes include explanations regarding different preferences and how having a preference doesn’t mean you are “wrong” rather, it means it’s what YOU prefer.

    Team members will learn about different cultures, family history, and geographic locations of their co-workers through discussions over cocktails and spirits - all led by Dr. Sunshine.

  • Your team should expect a 5-Star experience from Dr. Sunshine. They will engage, be entertained, will laugh, and won’t believe how much they learned at the end of class. Your team can sit at a Virtual Bar and speak to an Award-Winning bartender who will guide them through secrets-of-the-pro’s that they can employ in their at-home bartending.
